The OpportunityThe Senior Electrical Services Coordinator will serve as the recognised authority and lead contact regarding electrical maintenance, electrical minor works and electrical contract works at all Monash University sites.
The position is responsible for the delivery of electrical works and maintenance activities to existing buildings, ensuring that buildings operate continuously with minimal impact to the University as well as for all Low Voltage compliance, and High Voltage training.Reporting to the Building and Maintenance Manager, the role will manage electrical contractors to deliver high-quality Low Voltage and High Voltage electrical works.
The position also manages the electrical maintenance budget and contractors and will provide support through specialist advice to Planning and Projects.To ensure your success in this important role, you will have: A building trade certificate, Electricians Class A licence, certificate of competency in HV electrical Equipment operation and accessExperience in managing electrical compliance maintenance activities, coordinating High Voltage and First Aid training, and completing audits of the High Voltage registrations of external contractorsStrong knowledge of statutory and essential services requirements, including NCC, DDA and OHS regulationsProficient in a range of current software packages including the Microsoft Office suite, CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) and the University financial system About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
