UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles. As a result, we have an Expression of Interest for Senior Electrical Project Engineer role.
Provide support for design, construction support, testing and commissioning and handover of aspects of the electrical and combined services for the nominated project.Provide inputs for the production of project program, Quality Plan, Project Document Management Plan (PDMP) and Design Management documentation.Ensure that the design output conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.Lead or Support procurement for the designated work area.Management of short- and long-term planning for works - including submittals, start-up planning and programming.Support the Area Manager in preparing accurate monthly reports.Coordination of elements for the designated work area.Development and monitoring of KPI's and productivity analysis against program and budget.Development and monitoring of quality documentation completion against specifications and PSTR.Work with site-based personnel including supervisory staff, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, the client and regulatory authorities and industry body.About You Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.At least 10 years' experience in Electrical Engineering (practical as well as design).Applying engineering principles to comply with project scope and technical requirements (PSTR).Demonstrated experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.Proven experience (from concept to completion), as design engineer with full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Why Unite with the Very Best A competitive salary working in a rewarding, supportive and successful team.Flexible and blended work environment; make use of leave, flexible working and our 16 weeks paid primary parental leave options.Help create your Individual Development Plan and create significant opportunities for your professional development.A rewarding Wellness Program with AIA Vitality – earn cashback for gym shoes!Access to a multitude of rewards: discounts across shopping, food and wine, insurance, health and wellbeing, leisure and entertainment.Take advantage of our salary sacrifice options including cars, eligible portable electronic devices and professional memberships.As part of the recruitment process, there are several checks which may be conducted to demonstrate an applicant's suitability for a role including police/criminal background checks, medical, drug and alcohol testing, due diligence checks, right to work checks, and/or reference checks.
