We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to assist us at a tier 1 operation constructing a Tailings Dam in Central NSW.
For the next couple of months, the role will be Monday to Friday (5:2) in the Brisbane office, transitioning to a 12:9 FIFO roster once detailed design is complete, with time split between the Brisbane office and on-site in Orange.

The Role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the primary responsibility of this position is to provide designs and oversight for the electrical and instrumentation activities on site.
Due to an industry shortage of professionals, we are seeking the assistance of mining consultants to fill this gap.
We are currently looking for qualified engineers with 5+ years of experience in the design space.
This role is stable and embedded for the next 12 months while the tailings dam is constructed (with likely extensions), and there is the ability to move to one of our many other clients upon completion of this project at the same pay rate.
This role will initially be Monday to Friday in the Brisbane office, transitioning to a 12:9 roster (Monday to following Friday with 2 weekends at home per swing).
All travel expenses are paid for site visits.
The role will involve: Manage the Electrical / Instrumentation portion of the Engineering for the project.
Administer technical requirements for Electrical/Instrumentation of the project.
Uphold a strong HSE focus within the team, ensuring integration of OHSE requirements into design and procurement processes.
Ensure that the slurry piping is occurring within parameters.
Interface with stakeholders to assist in the facilitation of design reviews.
Proficiently develop comprehensive engineering reports, contributing valuable insights and technical input.
Execute intricate and high-level engineering calculations, applying precise methodologies to evaluate and determine project requirements and specifications.
Liase with our contract partners to ensure quality assurance and compliance against standards.
Set a personal example in health, safety, and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments, and site briefings.
To be considered you must meet the following criteria: 5+ Years of Electrical Engineering Experience.
Experience working on mining projects, with any tailings experience being highly regarded.
Recent design experience (we are looking for a Design Engineer and not a career project manager ).
Exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.
Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
