Candidates must possess excellent contractual and technical skills, the ability to interpret works contracts, specifications, drawings, technical information, problem-solving, production control, reporting, and strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
The Contract Administrator is also expected to promote Stowe Australia's capabilities and best interests to employees, sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients.As a Senior Electrical Estimator / Electrical Contracts Administrator, you will have the following minimum responsibilities:Sound Tier 1 Estimating experienceAdministration of the works contract, all notices, and correspondenceUnderstanding of Stowe's contractual obligationsUnderstanding of Stowe's scope of works and Project SpecificationsPrepare, update, and maintain Stowe's installation programmeMonitor both Stowe and Client programmes and submit notices as requiredNegotiate and settle variations with the clientProject documentation review for client requirements and complianceDevelopment of financial budgets and forecast reportsEstablish the project financial budget and production control frameworkPerform cost-benefit analysis on material and labour optionsMaintain customer relationshipsPreparation of suppliers and subcontractor's contractsEnsure all suppliers/subcontractors return signed contractsReceive verbal or written instruction of required workDevelop quotations/variations for submission to clientsCommitment to company profitability and continuous improvementSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Open Electrical LicenseOHS Cert IV (preferred)Cablers Licence (preferred)Construction Industry General Safety InductionDrivers LicenceWORK EXPERIENCEDemonstrated experience in the electrical & communications contracting industryDemonstrated experience in Project Management of electrical & communications projectsDemonstrated advanced Production Control & ReportingAbility to discharge company policies and proceduresSKILLS / KNOWLEDGEDemonstrated experience in Project ManagementWell-developed Time Management & Prioritisation abilitiesCommunication – interpersonal & organisationalIntermediate to advanced PC skills including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project & MS OutlookTeam BuildingSound Management of Contractual Processes and DocumentationSales and Relationship Building SkillsBEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIESSets the example for working safelyLeadership & Mentoring – Models appropriate behaviours & valuesTakes Ownership of Issues and escalates where necessaryContributes to achieve desired outcomes and a positive work culturePromotes the company's interests to internal & external parties
