We are seeking motivated individuals looking to take the next step in their Electrical Engineering career to work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects based in our Melbourne office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages, as well as the assessment and upgrading of existing assets.
About the role: We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our water group in Melbourne. In a close-knit and growing local office, you will be part of the much larger national ground engineering team. Working with experienced team members and clients, your role would involve exciting and diverse projects in a range of water infrastructure projects.
Day-to-day tasks would involve: Manage and lead electrical engineering design assignments and projects. Work as a team with other engineering disciplines and professionals to deliver multi-disciplinary engineering projects under the direction of a senior design manager. Preparing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gathering information to support design decisions. Use knowledge of general concepts of electrical engineering elements through investigation and analysis, to support electrical engineering projects and direct junior engineers. Perform and review calculations to analyze and design electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software. Interpret and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices. Providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications. Perform field work related to construction activities as required. Perform other duties as assigned by your people leader. To be successful for this role you'll need: Minimum of bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BE). Between 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position with well-rounded experience in Water and Waste Water projects. Prior consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes are highly regarded.
