About the RoleWe currently have an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for the Switchyard at Portland Aluminium.
This is a permanent position, working Monday through to Friday.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is part of the Metals team and is responsible for:
The safe and efficient management, maintenance, and operation of the high voltage switchyards, potline rectifier stations, and high and low voltage systems at the Portland Smelter ensuring continuous supply of power to the plant.Supporting operations and maintenance, and finding solutions that maximise the performance of equipment, reduce costs, and improve environmental, health, and safety performance.Identifying long-term opportunities for improvement through a focus on applying reliability engineering principles and standards to equipment and capital.Your role will be challenging and diverse!
It will require a strong customer focus with contribution to:
