With offices strategically located across major mining centres globally, they are at the forefront of meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow.The Opportunity:As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will join our client's Perth-based team in the heart of the CBD. Working alongside a multi-disciplined engineering and design team, you will be responsible for electrical engineering and design activities, specifically focused on hydrometallurgical process plants.Key Responsibilities:As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the team, taking ownership of electrical design projects and ensuring compliance with relevant client requirements and Australian Standards. Your responsibilities will include:Create cutting-edge electrical and instrumentation designs and perform calculations, adhering to client specifications and Australian Standards.Take charge of LV and MV design, encompassing MCCs and switchrooms, to drive efficient and effective electrical solutions.Configure and commission electrical and control systems, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.Produce comprehensive technical specifications and documents that outline project requirements and guidelines.Manage and oversee all aspects of electrical design projects, demonstrating your leadership skills and expertise.Collaborate closely with our talented designers, leveraging their expertise to develop innovative and practical designs for various plant elements.Prepare high-quality technical engineering documents that contribute to the overall success of our projects.Requirements:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field, showcasing your strong educational foundation.Proven experience in the design and construction of mineral processing projects, enabling you to navigate and succeed in our industry.In-depth knowledge of power systems and LV design, allowing you to engineer efficient and reliable electrical solutions.Previous exposure to functional safety and hazardous area practices within a mining environment would be highly advantageous.Familiarity with instrumentation, control systems, and communications, enabling seamless integration of electrical and control components.A thorough understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards, ensuring compliance and best practices.Experience working with base metals and rare earth minerals would be highly desirable, reflecting your versatility and adaptability.Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders.What's in it for You?Collaborate with a renowned international engineering group that operates at the forefront of the industry, working on impactful projects.Expand your professional network and knowledge by collaborating with talented and experienced professionals in a multi-disciplinary team.Enjoy a supportive work environment that encourages innovation, excellence, and personal growth.Gain exposure to a variety of mineral processing projects, including gold, lithium, and rare earths, broadening your skill set and industry expertise.Utilize your capabilities in a fast-paced and solutions-focused environment, driving progress and delivering high-quality outcomes.
