As a result of continued & sustained growth within our Mackay office, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Senior Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to work on a variety of projects throughout the region.
Working closely with the Team Leader, Building Services, in this role you will provide technical expertise, design, documentation, and project management for a variety of infrastructure, buildings, water, transport, defence, mining, and other projects, in an environment that will encourage you to thrive as part of a motivated and committed multi-disciplinary team.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work opportunities and will see you involved in:
Undertaking and managing the design and documentation of Building Services including electrical power reticulation and distribution systems, lighting design, standby power generation, communications cabling, lightning protection, fire detection, audio visual and security for various new or revamp related projects.
Interesting projects through all phases, from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.
Direct client engagement during delivery and active involvement in winning work.
Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
Managing multi-discipline projects while engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Road Lighting and Traffic Signal Design.
Electrical Building Services Design.
Water and Wastewater Infrastructure.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have 6+ years' experience in the design of electrical installations and the ability to lead and manage electrical design teams undertaking work in property and buildings, water, transport, and Defence market sectors.
You will have a strong understanding of electrical standards, National Construction Code, codes and regulations, as well as renewable energy resources and industry software.
You will have excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, and client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
Preparation and coordination of fee proposals, technical report writing, cost reporting, and client liaison at project level.
Fully conversant with Australian standards, electrical acts, and supply authority regulations.
Experience in dealings and liaison with clients, contractors, architects, civil engineers, project engineers in multi-discipline project teams, and an understanding of local council/authority, utility, and QFES requirements.
Computer proficiency in software packages such as AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Perfect Lite, AGi32 or DIALux, and Microsoft Office.
