This recruitment introduces a newly created role dedicated to bolstering the execution of diverse building projects in QLD, with the opportunity to support our flagship projects nationally.

What you'll doAs a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be part of a wider network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific activities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide electrical design expertise on a variety of mid to top tier multi-disciplinary building projectsDeliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and timeTake lead on engineering design when required, project coordination and managementCommunicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teamsBe a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineersBuild solid client relationships and representing the business with the local and regional marketsAbout youHold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering with CPeng an advantangeDemonstrate expertise in designing electrical systemsRPEQ, or the ability to obtain oneHave the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare and Education. Mission critical facilities project experience an advantage but not essential.Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standardsEnsure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Capable project and people leader - train, and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
