Role Summary The Electrical Engineer will support the engineering design for Detlevs Electrical's energy portfolio, particularly focusing on EVCI and BESS. Responsibilities include overseeing technical aspects of energy projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and integrating various energy systems and asset management reliability across our growing O&M portfolio.
The role requires travel to project sites in different states.
Responsibilities Develop concept to detailed designs for EVCI, BESS, and other energy projects. Conduct simulations, fault studies, and performance assessments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration. Prepare and review technical documentation and specifications. Conduct technical reviews and manage vendor and contractor documentation. Identify and mitigate technical risks. Perform fault investigations and collaborate with stakeholders. Ensure QA/QC documentation meets industry standards. Provide engineering support during construction and collaborate across project phases. Participate in communication among teams to optimise project outcomes. Focus on asset management engineering, reliability management, and maintenance strategies. Experience Required Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, eligible for Corporate Membership with the Institute of Engineers, Australia. Chartered Professional Engineer or able to obtain registration. Minimum 5 years of experience. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and people skills. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and design quality assurance processes. Experience with QA/QC, commissioning of energy projects, and asset management. Desirable experience in Reliability Management - leading root cause analysis investigations.
