As an SE working within our Solutions Engineering team, you will support the Sales Team as a vertical SME, specializing in the EHS domain. Your primary objective will be to understand the unique EHS management challenges faced by prospective clients and demonstrate how our solutions can address their needs effectively.
Ideagen views the role of an SE as the co-pilot in the sales process; your role will be to work closely with your sales community to ensure that the right focus and effort is applied to deals and revenue retention.
This position operates within the Enterprise and mid-market sales space; the successful candidate should demonstrate their ability to work at both levels and understand the required impact of delivering a buying experience to different audiences whilst maintaining an outcome-focused solutioning approach.
Thorough domain and product knowledge are required to present solutions that deliver outcomes to our customers' pain points. You are the trusted advisor for the buying audience; you understand their pain points and you are able to recall previous experiences to influence what good looks like!
Role Overview
Engage with prospective customers to understand their EHS management requirements and business objectives. Conduct in-depth consultations, Discovery and needs assessments to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. Demonstrate our products and solutions to potential customers, leading with how the solution will resolve their pain and showcasing their features and capabilities in relation to EHS management. Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized presentations, proposals, and solution designs tailored to the specific needs of each prospect. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, EHS Directors, EHS Managers, and IT professionals, to gain buy-in for our solutions. Provide expert advice and guidance on industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to EHS management. Participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote our company's expertise in EHS management. Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to stay ahead of the curve. Design, develop and maintain product demonstration environments based on key Verticals & Territories. Provide guidance to Product / Pre-Sales Support Team to maintain real-time data in Demo Environments. Build Role Play / Demo Scripts specific to "future customer" defined use case requirements. Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs. Provide transitional support as needed to the implementation team. Support our Marketing team with webinar participation and evangelizing our core messages. About You
Proven experience (5 years+) working in a Pre-Sales/Sales engineering, consulting or management role in the Safety, Environmental or Health Management industry. (Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, EHS Management or relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 Lead Auditor, CSP, ASP, CIH) is a plus. Deep understanding of EHS management principles, methodologies, and frameworks. Ability to discuss EHS concepts, metrics, audit process, CAPA management, permit compliance, and sustainability-related topics. Strong knowledge of EHS management software solutions and platforms. Awareness of SaaS, the benefits of a SaaS solution, API & interoperability, and Data Warehousing. (Understanding of software architecture would be a bonus) Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex EHS concepts clearly and persuasively describe the benefits of an EHS software solution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-centric mindset. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple Pre-Sales engagements simultaneously. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events. Must be able to present himself/herself in a professional manner and is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). The ideal candidate must have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to articulate technical solutions in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience and must be comfortable and effective when talking with a broad range of decision influencers and decision makers within an organization.
