DoE is a large and diverse organisation with a united commitment to teaching and learning environments that are centred around child, student, and staff wellbeing and safety.Your opportunity:For 2025, Metro South Region (MSR) and North Coast Region (NCR) are seeking interest from school educators/middle leaders with deep knowledge and skills around supporting educators to enact the K-12 CARF and the underlying curriculum teaching and learning practices.As the Senior Education Officer, you will (but not limited to):Coordinate, manage and evaluate a range of capability development activities, aligned to research-based, evidence backed and standards-informed practices, and relevant to the location, context and differentiated model of support.Deliver professional learning and capability for educators, aligned to the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA senior syllabus, with a focus on school leaders, to enact Equity and Excellence, priorities and focus capability areas.Strengthen school leaderships', curriculum leaders' and teachers' knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and related disciplinary knowledge by focusing professional development on what students are to learn, evidence-based teaching strategies, and how to differentiate learning to achieve improvement.Work with your regional team and collaborate with a network of peers around the state in regional campuses and a centrally located team to provide targeted capability development in the following priority areas:ReadingEffective, evidence-informed whole school approach to pedagogyMaintaining teaching competency and currency of knowledge of pedagogy and current curriculum programs to ensure the delivery of effective professional development.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
