This is your chance to be part of a team that supports new industry development, attracts new investors, works with existing businesses to be part of major projects and contributes to the economic prosperity of the region.For This Role We Are Looking For Strengths In:Written and oral communicationAdaptabilityRelationship buildingProject management and deliveryInitiativeAnalysis and assessmentYour responsibilities:Assist and engage in the promotion of regional businesses, initiatives, and departmental service offerings to support regional economic growth and supply chain development.Assist and engage in the coordination and delivery of departmental programs, industry initiatives, and events, including the ability to confidently deliver workshops and present at industry events.Facilitate connections across government and non-government agencies to progress regional major construction projects.Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and other government agencies to support the delivery of regional outcomes.Support regional leadership and capacity building to deliver on economic priorities of regional communities (from Cardwell, out to Croydon and up to Cape York and Torres Islands), including the Local Economic Opportunities Network, and engagement with local governments.Identify opportunities and contribute positively to team activities including project planning and implementation.Other duties as requested by the Regional Director, Manager or team members.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/611293/24Closing Date: Thursday, 23 January 2025Occupational group: Project Management
