Pay is $110,000 – $140,000 + Super
Field bonus is 2 hrs extra pay per day out in the field – very lucrative $105 – $135 extra per day.
If you're a Senior Ecologist who enjoys fieldwork, then this is your new position! With 2 weeks at a time in the field just outside of Brisbane (+ $105 – $135 extra per day in Field Bonuses), you'll manage a diverse array of field-based projects.
Project Examples:
5-year implementation program to establish and carry out research for a locally endangered bird, including long-term monitoring program, managing offset site, management and rehabilitation sites.
Offsets and impact assessments through to rehabilitation and mitigation stage – including long-term monitoring.
Wind farming – offsets and management plans – bird and bat utilisation surveys.
Transport and main roads projects – upgrades and more local work.
Rehabilitation program compliance monitoring (this particular project has complicated logistics & safety requirements ecologists are not normally exposed to).
