Downer Utilities has recently been awarded a new contract by Unitywater valued at $600 million over an initial 5-year term. Commencing May 2024, Downer will be responsible for delivering capital works for the water, sewerage and recycled water networks within the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions, as well as works across Unitywater's 17 sewerage treatment plants in the Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Moreton Bay regions.

We're now recruiting key roles to support this long-term, high-value contract that will significantly expand the delivery of our services across the south-east Queensland region.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Document Controller , you will manage the Program Document Management framework and support the team across a range of compliance measures and deliverables. This is a leadership role with a hands-on approach to guiding the team, taking direction from Senior Leaders and performance monitoring across the Document Management Framework.
Some key responsibilities include:
Set up, manage and provide advice on storage, filing and management of all project documentation and ensuring seamless accessibility.
Checking quality of documents, monitoring processes and compliance to The Downer Standard verification systems.
Maintaining updates and assisting the team with updating records and approved drawings, and their incoming and outgoing distribution.
Conduct health checks to monitor the integrity of both program and project level Document Management Systems.
ABOUT YOU
A strong track record of Document Control or Quality Control within a Construction environment.
The ability to build relationships with various stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
Team Binder experience (highly regarded).
Team player with the ability to build rapport quickly and the desire to continue your professional development.
A continuous improvement mindset with an eye for detail.
