The role: We are seeking a data driven Senior Divisional Accountant to join our finance team, in our head office in Mount Waverley.
Reporting to the State Financial Controller and working closely with business leaders, this is a position within the finance team that entails full divisional reporting and analytical responsibilities for our Victorian Completed Homes and Land Development divisions.
The role will also involve managing an Assistant Accountant as well as working closely with the broader finance team.

This is not a pure month-end reporting role, and we are looking for an individual to value-add and develop within the business.

Your responsibilities will be broad and will include the following: Prepare and review high quality month end financial reporting under strict timeframes to report to Tokyo, Japan.
Assist in the preparation of land acquisitions and spec settlement cashflow tracking and reporting.
Working closely with business leaders in preparing and scrutinising annual budgets and forecasts with WIP inventory of over $100m.
Provide analytics on company and industry impacts such as cost overruns, construction timeframes and sales data.
Prepare management commentary including variance analysis and key metrics.
Working closely with the State and Group Financial Controllers on various analytical projects to assist in further business improvements, new opportunities and key decisions.
Provide leadership and mentor an Assistant Accountant.
To be the successful applicant CPA/CA qualified and with at least 10 years' experience as an Accountant Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meeting firm deadlines.
Provide leadership and direction to the broader finance team.
The ability to take ownership of tasks and be a self-starter.
Advanced excel skills.
