It ensures that relevant business areas and stakeholders, including Journey Services, Transport for Victoria, and the Network Impact Management Plan (NIMP) teams, receive timely and efficient information.Additionally, the role involves effectively leading, managing, motivating, and developing staff to foster a team culture that values innovation, ongoing learning, knowledge sharing, feedback, open communication, and continuous process improvement.To access the Position Description, Please Click here .Position AccountabilitiesMonitoring and reporting - Effectively lead the investigation and reporting of traffic and transport interruptions resulting of planned or unplanned roadworks, events or incidents across the Victorian road network, while ensuring the information is distributed to relevant business areas and stakeholders including Journey Services, Transport for Victoria and the Network Impact Management Plan (NIMP) teams in a timely and efficient manner.Technical knowledge - Provide specialist professional and technical guidance and expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to events, road safety and traffic matters that may impact the network while providing adequate reports that identify levels of risk. Consider and review dispensations and non-standard traffic management requests outside the contract requirements.Managing Stakeholders - Lead the development of strong working relationships and knowledge sharing with key stakeholders while applying well developed negotiation and influencing skills to ensure appropriate measures are identified and implemented to reduce the impact of delays on the network.Strategic planning - Using a specialist understanding of traffic operations and disruptions, lead the development and implementation of traffic management strategies.Influencing stakeholders - Represent DTP effectively at high level internal and external meetings and forums related to network disruptions and advocate for DTP's program of works.Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.Key Selection Criteria - SummaryAs the ideal candidate, you will excel in resolving issues through deep understanding or interpretation of guidelines, analysing ideas, and taking informed action independently or with others.
