About the role We are seeking a Senior Dispute Resolution Advisor to provide support for our Professional Standards and Behaviours Department.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Establish strategies to prevent, minimise or resolve workplace harm by designing and implementing a person-centred approach to conflict resolution.Develop, advocate, and utilise mediation-style, preliminary conferencing as part of AV's aim for a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace, including explaining and providing professional advice and guidance to all parties.Coordinate the progress of complex complaints through the complaint life cycle, including preparing for triage, developing and implementing an end-to-end case management plan, whilst ensuring a person-centred approach to complaints.Provide a suite of contemporary, tailored conflict resolution services (mediation and complaint avenues) to all employees ensuring a consistent person-centred approach.About you To be considered for this position you will possess a tertiary qualification in either Human Resources or Employment Law, or a related discipline (or progress towards), or significant experience in Human resources with a focus management of performance/disciplinary matters.
Other requirements include:
Successful completion of recognised mediation course or equivalent combination of training and extensive relevant experience conducting contemporary conflict resolutions.Eligibility for accreditation under the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS).A commitment to a high-performing, psychologically safe and collaborative team environment.Sound knowledge and high level of relevant experience in delivering person-centred and restorative workplace practices with demonstrated record of providing safe and fair alternatives.Sound knowledge of employment law and experience working successfully in highly unionised employment environments.Working at Ambulance Victoria As a valued member of AV you will enjoy a professional working environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.
