to join our longstanding, purpose-driven, and values-based organisation to make a real difference in people's lives! As a Senior Day Services Support Practitioner,
you will support our clients to undertake a range of daily tasks including personal and self-care, eating and maintenance of personal hygiene. You will be proactive in promoting community inclusion through following up on community-based opportunities for our participants, based on their interests and hobbies. You will also assist our clients to participate as much as possible in community activities. You will plan, conduct and review activities designed to increase social and community participation. You will also assist with daily operational site requirements with opportunities for personal growth and skill development! The role will operate within genU's Participate Business Unit, which was established to facilitate innovative, client-centered programs with a focus on building skills that will assist in achieving our participant's goals!

About You!
Our ideal Senior Day Services Support Practitioner
will: Previous experience in the disability sector, including knowledge of providing client choice and self-directed support. Work effectively with program members who have high physical needs and/or challenging behaviours implementing manual handling assessments and/or positive behaviour support plans. Have effective leadership skills; Have strong interpersonal skills, incorporating verbal & written communication, flexibility & resilience; Be able to work both autonomously & as part of a team; Have efficient planning, time management & organisational skills; Have the flexibility to work across several sites within the region; Enjoy helping others achieve their goals and personal growth.
You will need the following:
Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability) or equivalent; Current First Aid and CPR; Current and Valid Australian Driver's Licence;
