Are you looking for a broad and diverse leadership role where you will shape the strategic direction and deliver impactful educational outcomes? The Department of Education and Training, Northern Territory is now accepting applications for the position of Senior Director Education in the Barkly region. The Department of Education and Training, Northern Territory is responsible for delivering quality, culturally responsive educational services and programs to children and young people across the six regions of the Northern Territory.
As a strategic system leader of the Barkly region, you will be responsible for the performance and development of 13 principals to support the delivery of improved educational outcomes across 13 Barkly schools and 4 early childhood services.
This role is part of an innovative executive team, where you will directly report to the Deputy Chief Executive Regional Services. You'll provide executive experience in implementing, coordinating, and influencing interagency, stakeholder and Whole of Government priorities and projects.
An innovative leader, you'll keep us on the trajectory of being the most improving education system in Australia. You'll provide executive level leadership and work collaboratively with principals to inform, set, and drive Education NT's strategic direction and implement a whole of system high quality approach to school improvement.
You'll have a tertiary qualification in education and extensive experience in the education sector. You'll be an experienced senior leader of a complex professional based organisation, having driven change and reform and built a positive organisational culture. You'll have led highly effective education improvement strategies to lift performance and student achievement levels with demonstrated knowledge of contemporary curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in early childhood and/or Transition to Year 12.
In return you will receive an Executive Contract Officer 2 remuneration package starting at $247,170. This is a fixed term position up to 4 years.
