Additionally, eHealth Queensland manages the state's central health data warehouse, supporting comprehensive data analytics.About the role:Reporting to the Executive Director of the Delivery Services Branch, the Senior Director of Digitally Enabled Business Solutions plays a pivotal role within Queensland Health. This role focuses on the strategic oversight and delivery of large-scale digital health initiatives, ensuring alignment with Queensland Health's vision of becoming a high-reliability organisation. Tasked with managing digital and business projects across 16 Hospital and Health Services, this position drives advancements in digital infrastructure and service delivery.Overseeing projects with a combined budget exceeding $200 million, the Senior Director leads a team of 200 professionals, including project managers, technical experts, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and people-centred culture. The role ensures effective project execution, engaging stakeholders and vendors to deliver digital solutions that meet both patient care and operational needs, advancing Queensland Health's strategic priorities.In addition to project leadership, this role supports a high-performance environment within the Delivery Services Branch, championing collaboration, innovation, and resilience in digital health initiatives. The Senior Director not only addresses immediate project outcomes but also contributes to building Queensland Health's long-term digital capabilities, driving efficient, reliable health service delivery across the organisation.Key accountabilities include:Ensure that all responsibilities in this role align with Queensland Public Service values.Adhere to established service quality standards and occupational health and safety policies.Foster and cultivate a motivated and professional workforce that is engaged in delivering outstanding project outcomes.Implement systems and processes to track project progress and ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the quality expected by stakeholders.Maintain a rigorous and transparent reporting system for all projects to ensure that stakeholders are regularly updated with accurate and detailed progress reports.Manage both the budgets and resourcing of all projects effectively.Define and implement strategic approaches that ensure the reliable delivery of projects.Provide strategic, high-level advice to the Executive Director, Deputy Director-General, and the wider leadership team on risk management and issue resolution.Cultivate a culture of high performance, ensuring clear expectations of performance are communicated and managed.Promote and stimulate innovative thinking to improve project and program management practices.Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and service providers.The Person:To be considered for the position, you will be an exceptional leader who demonstrates extensive experience and record of achievements at a senior level across the Health sector. A strong background in program and project management is essential, including the expertise and qualifications needed to drive positive outcomes on complex projects. High-level communication skills in negotiation, consultation, and both written and oral communication are required, as well as a collaborative approach to foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Experience managing vendor relationships, including overseeing the fulfillment of contractual obligations, is critical. The successful candidate should also have a versatile approach to project methodologies, able to adapt various techniques based on risk assessment and project purpose.
