Senior Director, Digitally Enabled Business Solutions (Brisbane based)About eHealth Queensland:
eHealth Queensland spearheads digital health innovation across Queensland, aligning ICT initiatives with the strategic goals of Queensland Health.
Its responsibilities include overseeing clinical and corporate ICT programs, managing essential digital infrastructure such as telehealth, mobile device support, data centres, and network security, all to support healthcare delivery.

Governed through a board reporting to the Director-General, eHealth Queensland enhances collaboration between Queensland Health and its Hospital and Health Services, led by a Chief Clinical Information Officer who drives digital transformation.
Additionally, eHealth Queensland manages the state's central health data warehouse, supporting comprehensive data analytics.
About the role:
Reporting to the Executive Director of the Delivery Services Branch, the Senior Director of Digitally Enabled Business Solutions plays a pivotal role within Queensland Health.
This role focuses on the strategic oversight and delivery of large-scale digital health initiatives, ensuring alignment with Queensland Health's vision of becoming a high-reliability organisation.
Tasked with managing digital and business projects across 16 Hospital and Health Services, this position drives advancements in digital infrastructure and service delivery.

Overseeing projects with a combined budget exceeding $200 million, the Senior Director leads a team of 200 professionals, including project managers, technical experts, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and people-centred culture.
The role ensures effective project execution, engaging stakeholders and vendors to deliver digital solutions that meet both patient care and operational needs, advancing Queensland Health's strategic priorities.
Specifically, key accountabilities include: Ensure that all responsibilities in this role align with Queensland Public Service values.Adhere to established service quality standards and occupational health and safety policies.Foster and cultivate a motivated and professional workforce that is engaged in delivering outstanding project outcomes, creating an atmosphere of continuous development and strong collaboration across the team.Implement systems and processes to track project progress and ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and with the quality expected by stakeholders, consistently exceeding customer expectations.Maintain a rigorous and transparent reporting system for all projects to ensure that stakeholders are regularly updated with accurate and detailed progress reports, in alignment with the Delivery Services Branch reporting schedule.Manage both the budgets and resourcing of all projects effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of funds and human resources, and resolving any constraints or issues that may arise during project execution.Define and implement strategic approaches that ensure the reliable delivery of projects, meeting scope, timeframes, and quality standards, in line with the broader goals of Queensland Health's digital health initiatives.Provide strategic, high-level advice to the Executive Director, Deputy Director-General, and the wider leadership team on risk management, issue resolution, and the interdependencies across projects, helping to navigate complex challenges.Cultivate a culture of high performance, ensuring clear expectations of performance are communicated and managed, both internally with staff and externally with service providers, to align with the delivery of program outcomes.Promote and stimulate innovative thinking to improve project and program management practices.Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and service providers.The Person:
To be considered for the position, you will be an exceptional leader who demonstrates extensive experience and record of achievements at a senior level across the Health sector.
A strong background in program and project management is essential, including the expertise and qualifications needed to drive positive outcomes on complex projects.
High-level communication skills in negotiation, consultation, and both written and oral communication are required, as well as a collaborative approach to foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience managing vendor relationships, including overseeing the fulfillment of contractual obligations, is critical.
The successful candidate should also have a versatile approach to project methodologies, able to adapt various techniques based on risk assessment and project purpose.
Effective change management and demonstrated success in leading large-scale, complex programs are also vital for this role.
