Information on this website will be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions until after the election and conclusion of the caretaker period.Senior Director, Compliance and Governance - School OperationsFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyCloses: 31 October 2024Details: The School Improvement Group strategically lead and coordinate the school improvement agenda for the ACT Education Directorate's Education Support Office.The Group is responsible for:Driving system wide focus on improvement for every child and young person.Informing and influencing the broader work of the branches within the Directorate in delivering an integrated approach to the delivery of services providing an interface between schools, school networks and ESO.Supporting the development and delivery of programs and interventions for schools including facilitating partnerships and the sharing of best practice across networks.Linking schools with other education providers to deliver high quality services and outcomes.Supporting schools to manage a range of operational processes including incident reporting and point in time support/queries.Reporting to the Executive Leader School Operations, the Senior Director is responsible for the delivery of School Operations functions within the Compliance and Governance team.The Senior Director is expected to ensure that legal and compliance obligations for policies held by the branch (such as preschool compliance) are upheld, relevant operational activities (such as the managing and reporting of suspension and enrolment appeals) are conducted effectively, and to provide high level administrative, coordination and stakeholder management support to the branch.
