The National Gallery is seeking an experienced and creative digital marketing and social media professional to join the Marketing, Communications and Visitor Experience portfolio.
In this role you will create, commission and manage content for social media, digital signage and other digital channels that promote National Gallery exhibitions and programs, as well as wider initiatives and projects aligned to National Gallery strategy, with a focus to grow audience and engagement.
This role is responsible for digital advertising campaigns, producing digital marketing analytics and reports, and managing multiple social media accounts in line with National Gallery objectives.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing – the Senior Digital Marketing Officer develops and implements the Gallery's Social Media Strategy, Social Media Policy, and ensures the Gallery's tone of voice and brand identity is executed successfully across digital marketing channels.
The Senior Digital Marketing Officer is a full time, ongoing role within the Marketing Team.
This role requires someone who can work outside of the normal Monday – Friday, 9-5 to monitor the Gallery's social media accounts.
The key duties of the position include:Provide day to day management of the Gallery's social media, digital marketing channels and digital signage – including content development, scheduling and moderation, organic and paid content in line with National Gallery objectives.Develop and implement the Social Media Strategy and Policy, consisting of creative and agile digital marketing strategies for National Gallery exhibitions, acquisitions, conservation, publishing, education, corporate partnerships and private giving, ensuring consistent application of the Gallery's tone of voice and brand and positive impact in terms of profile and reputation.Ensure high levels of creativity and quality control in the development of social media and digital content, providing data-led advice on live streaming, editorial, and video production, staying on top of global content trends.Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the National Gallery Director, conservation, exhibitions, curatorial, artists, partners, media contacts, influencers, including content collaboration opportunities in line with the Gallery's objectives.Commission and produce original social and digital marketing content – including artist collaborations – to promote the Gallery, behind the scenes and artist voices.Provide advice and leadership to the Head of Marketing and Assistant Director, Marketing, Communications and Visitor Experience, on issues and opportunities relating to social media trends and developments, risk, analytical evaluation and commercial insights.Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the Gallery, you must be an Australian citizen.
