Based in our Mount Waverley Head Office, the Senior DevOps Engineer is highly consultative; you will work closely with multiple internal and external teams to design, develop, integrate, administer and maintain applications across a hybrid landscape, with a primary focus on platform engineering, improving automation, quality and velocity of services we deliver to internal and external customers. The Senior DevOps Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute and may also bring expertise in the management and setup of the hyperscaler (AWS) platform. This is an integral role within our agile engineering/delivery model and will provide essential support to our Technology Transformation Program. Your responsibilities will include: You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to effectively distil customer problems and execute our short-term, near-term and long-term initiatives Software Development - Design, Development and Support Design, build and deliver new key product features, integrations and functionality and enhance and maintain existing product capabilities Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new initiatives and potential areas for business improvement across COTS and internal products Deliver high-quality software early and frequently and increase stakeholder trust in the team's ability to deliver outcomes within the agreed sprint DevOps - Platform Engineering & CI/CD Manage, enhance and create a foundational infrastructure that empowers engineers to be more productive and focus on their core tasks without worrying about underlying systems Champion Metricon's continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices Lead & Navigate Change - Operating Model and Simplification Provide strategic leadership in AWS Solutions Managing complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests; and Respond flexibly to ensure the achievement of multiple project objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities.

The successful candidate will have: ESSENTIAL: Minimum of 10+ years of experience working as both a DevOps Engineer and software developer in Scrum teams Project management experience specifically related to managing software product development projects and ensuring timely releases Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA Significant experience in following development frameworks (C# Dotnet Core), MVC, ASP.NET Core Web API, Angular JS/Typescripts Significant experience and familiarity with Microservices, enterprise design patterns, CICD and OAuth Demonstrate working experiences with code repositories (GIT, GitHub, BitBucket, Azure DevOps and TFS) and Pipeline (Github Actions, runner and Terraform) Extensive experience in DevOps practices, deploying and managing AWS services & technologies – Docker, lambda, S3, Cloudfront, Ec2, ALB, RDS, Dynamo DB, EKS, ECR and AWS artifact, Mongo DB Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Experience with CRM (MS Dynamics 365), ERP, HCM, Integration, and Digital streams would be well-regarded Working experience with Integration platforms as a service - BizTalk, MuleSoft or Hyperscaler services Experience in the successful delivery of large-scale and complex ITC programs of work Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and establish productive working relationships at all levels of the organisation Capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritise, lead, facilitate, motivate, and drive team members to deliver and achieve common goals Strong understanding of systems, software, and technologies, combined with business acumen DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Working experience with AWS or Azure AI services, Python and R programming languages Understanding of Security scanning tools. (DefectDojo, SonarQube, Zap Scanner) Understanding of Azure App and Entra Understanding of Observability tools.
