Senior Development Manager

Purpose of the role
To generate new business, develop solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projects and carry out supplementary tasks to ensure that the Business Development team reach their set targets.
Duties and responsibilities To originate, develop and optimise solar, wind, BESS and hybrid projectsTo manage a team of developersTo manage the development of a portfolio of in-house developed, introduced and/or acquired projects from initiation to financial closeTo develop new business opportunitiesTo develop strong working relationships and liaise closely with other business divisions including engineering, planning, grid, energy markets, delivery, legal and finance to assist in the development of projectsTo align development strategy with specific strategic objectivesTo increase our industry presence and influence through engagement with key stakeholdersTo align with and participate in state specific industry groupsTo assist other developers by carrying out supporting activities when neededTo understand and develop company strategies and develop business and business practices accordinglyTo work with the Development team and other departments to improve processes and efficiency.In addition, the Employee will perform such other duties, appropriate to the position as the Company may from time to time require.
PERSONAL SKILLS Knowledge - Excellent communication and negotiation skills required
- Understanding of renewables industry, energy and environmental issues
- Technical understanding of solar, wind and BESS development and construction
- Understanding of environmental planning constraints
- Understanding of commercial activities including financial models, funding arrangements and legals
- Varied experience in private and public sector, showing adaptability and ability to learn quickly.

The ability to evaluate and convey complex information to others in an effective manner through persuasive communication, negotiating skills and clear presentation skills in both verbal and written contexts.
Experience Required • Bachelors Degree in related discipline
Proven track record of:
