About the Role As a Senior Development Engineer, you will lead the delivery of high-profile residential developments in the ACT. This is a strategic leadership role where you will manage the design/approval processes and the delivery of residential developments. From feasibility to design reviews, your expertise will shape all aspects of the project, ensuring it meets the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to deliver outstanding communities.
Key Responsibilities for the Role Assist Project Directors and Development Managers on key projects in the ACT.Prepare detailed consultant briefs and recommend consultant appointments.Review engineering designs and provide guidance on future planning.Direct and support consultants through the design, documentation, construction, and title registration phases.Oversee tender and construction phases, approving any necessary variations.Assist Development Managers in preparing project budgets, cash flows, and programmes, and monitor project performance against time, cost, and quality objectives.Facilitate the preparation of development applications and voluntary planning agreements.Liaise with government agencies to ensure timely approvals and regulatory compliance.Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety standards.Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Manager to develop effective sales and marketing strategies.Prepare progress reports for senior management and joint venture partners.Lead consultants and contractors through all stages of development, from design to registration.Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Engineering.Strong experience in project and financial management within property development.Background in sustainability, technology integration, and infrastructure development, especially in mixed-use environments.Exceptional time management and planning skills with strong commercial acumen.Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building robust relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.Rewards and Benefits This is a career-defining opportunity with a highly respected employer offering unparalleled career development.
