About the role
As a Senior Development Engineer, you will lead the delivery of high profile developments in the ACT. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader capable of managing the design/ approval processes and delivery of residential developments. The role encompasses all aspects of residential subdivision development from feasibility to assist in managing the design process and carry out detailed review of designs and provide feedback internally and to external consultants.
Key Responsibilities for the role Assist Project Directors and Development Managers on projects primarily in the ACT. Prepare consultant briefs and recommend the appointment of consultants. Review engineering designs and assist with future planning. Support and provide direction to consultants during the design, documentation, construction and title registration phases. Direct consultants during the tender and construction phase and approve variations. Assist Development Managers in the preparation of project budgets, cash flows, programmes and monitor the performance of projects against time, cost and quality objectives. Facilitate the preparation of development applications and voluntary planning agreements. Liaise with government agencies to facilitate timely approvals and regulatory compliance. Ensure strict compliance with WHS legislation and company safety standards across areas of responsibility. Collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to create dynamic and effective sales and marketing strategies. Prepare comprehensive progress reports for senior management and joint venture partners. Lead consultants and contractors through the design, documentation, construction, and registration phases of development. Skills & experience Tertiary qualification in Engineering. Strong experience in project and financial management within property development. Background in sustainability, technology integration, infrastructure and mixed use environments. Outstanding time management, planning, commercial acumen. Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
