About the Role The primary purpose of this role is to provide project design and coordination services for Council's properties and buildings projects allocated to the City Projects team to meet Operational Plan outcomes and objectives.
The role is responsible for undertaking project design delivery including project planning, feasibility assessment, brief development, detailed design and preparation of tender documentation for Council's projects and programs, of varying complexity, to deliver sustainable outcomes for the community.
In consultation with the Manager City Projects, the Coordinator Design and the Senior Project Architect, the successful candidate will:
Take responsibility for, and deliver the design of projects and programs as directedEngage with stakeholders and external providers and consultants to develop quality solutions to the agreed project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverablesInvestigate, analyse and prepare reports for projects, issues and risks as requiredImplement and manage the approvals process for projects as requiredManage procurement and tender evaluation process for projects as requiredWork with the construction team during construction, providing advice on design intent and delivery About You We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced professional with good communication and strong interpersonal skills to join our team and deliver quality design for community infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who has:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Architecture/Building (or equivalent), or extensive industry experience and professional training in the field of building.Demonstrated experience and knowledge across a number of functional areas within relevant field. Salary Range: $86,560.78 to $96,948.30 per annum plus 11% superannuation
