You will be working on the latest technologies (AWS, Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka) in a greenfield project building out new digital experiences and core trading capability for this major financial institution.ResponsibilitiesAs a Back-end developer within the Futures Integration squad, you will be implementing a new Futures product system migrating away from a monolithic legacy application into a new distributed application based on micro-services supported by a Kafka back-end. You will be expected to participate in both the solution design and execution.SkillsMust haveBachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent IT discipline.7+ years of relevant working experience.Experience building micro services on Kubernetes using Node JS (5+ years of experience).Worked with, and delivered on, enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices and helping enable major programs to deliver business value.Experience designing, building and testing Java applications, micro services, data streaming capabilities.Experience with API Swagger design.Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture certifications on AWS (Preferred) or GCP incl Kubernetes.Experience on Apache Kafka / Confluent Kafka.Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD).Good delegation and time management skills.Problem-solving abilities.Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs.Collaborate across time zones via documents, and frequent videoconferences.Excellent debugging and optimization skills.Experience in unit/integration and Non-Functional testing.Experience with complex data structures and semi-structured data (JSON, XML).Contact: +61 28028 3141Due to new privacy laws regarding the collection and handling of personal information, all applications must be submitted online.
