Senior Developer

Details of the offer

The Office of Parliamentary Counsel is seeking an experienced software developer to join a team that supports the Federal Register of Legislation application.
We require a skilled full stack developer to join the team to support and enhance the application going forward.
The key duties of the position include:(a) write well-designed, maintainable and testable code and integrate software components into an existing, fully functional software system
(b) participate in code quality assurance processes, such as unit testing and peer reviews for accuracy and functionality
(c) design, implement and test software components to meet the user and system requirements
(d) assist with continuous product and process improvement by identifying technological and systems deficiencies and recommending process, procedures and method improvements.
EligibilityTo be eligible for the role, you must:


be an Australian Citizen
be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance to Baseline status.
Getting to know the Office of Parliamentary CounselThe Office of Parliamentary Counsel (OPC) is a small Commonwealth government agency which provides clear, effective and accessible Commonwealth law for all Australians.
We do this by drafting Bills for the Commonwealth government, and a significant proportion of Commonwealth legislative instruments.
We also provide comprehensive, free access to Commonwealth legislation through the Federal Register of Legislation website, preparing compilations of Commonwealth legislation, and registering Commonwealth Acts and instruments on behalf of more than 70 agencies.
