The Reserve Bank of Australia is currently seeking a Senior Desktop Support Analyst to join our Desktop team in IT for a

fixed term contract till September 2026.

The role will focus on enabling a standard, stable and robust desktop environment for staff in the Bank. This includes the plan, design, testing, and implementation of end-user technology including desktops, laptops, tablets, and virtual desktops. Facilitate hardware equipment procurement, leasing, and technical support for the overall desktop computing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Resolve incidents and service requests related to end-user devices.

Enable a standard, stable and robust desktop environment for users in the Bank.

Improve the overall User Experience.

Business analysis and reporting for desktop support.

Transition of new services into production.

Ensure security compliance through patching.

Your Background:

5+ years experience with desktop application environments and server applications systems.

Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies.

Experience in the planning, implementation, management, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft desktop infrastructure.

Strong working knowledge of core Windows services (Active Directory).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune.

Knowledge of Azure, including Azure AD Hybrid Join, Intune enrolment.

Advanced knowledge for Windows SOE and security components including the Essential 8.

Knowledge of Active Directory components, such as LDAP, Group Policy, and Users and Computers.

Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP.

Understanding of network security, with experience in Zscaler.

Strong history of completing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

Previous experience in an IT support role within a large environment including exposure to Incident/Problem Management.
