Due to an increase in projects WSP Australia's Sunshine Coast team is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Designer to join them and lead and deliver high-quality civil design solutions for road infrastructure projects in the Sunshine Coast region.
Working in the Bridges, Aviation & Roads team you will use your advanced technical expertise in civil design, particularly in road design, using best practice to ensure safety, efficiency, and sustainability of transport infrastructure. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.
What you'll do:
Seek information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needs.Develop and review engineering models and drawings.Incorporate Road Safety and Design Philosophy principles into designs.Provide technical input on multiple projects of varying complexity and size.Mentor junior designers in technical, project delivery and client relationships.About You
You have demonstrated experience in preparing high-quality civil design solutions for roads, highways, and interchanges, preferably using TMR and Austroads standards. An effective communicator, you are able to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment, and you enjoy building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, you will have:
Associate Degree (Civil Engineering) or Equivalent.Typically, 7-10 years' experience in a consultancy environment with experience in road design, drainage services or other civil engineering design.At WSP you'll find the scale and reach you need to do the kind of work the world needs - and the culture and people that make it the best work of your life.
