Do you enjoy combining your project management/design manager experience to mentor and develop teams?
Due to continued growth and project wins, we are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Adelaide to provide support to major water projects locally and nationally.
Position Overview: The Senior Design Manager is a key role for our business and will drive the delivery of large projects and programs of work across water, wastewater, treatment plants, chemical dosing, hydrogen, and desalination.
The delivery of these programs is focused on achieving great customer and community outcomes by leaving positive, long-lasting legacies wherever we work.
Key Responsibilities: Through accurate forecasting of time, cost, and quality outcomes, the Senior Design Manager will make evidence-based decisions that consider multiple risk factors to ensure they are managed appropriately.
Responsibilities will focus on ensuring the delivery of early-stage detailed designs across multi-disciplinary engineering, environmental, safety, and sustainability.
You will be accountable for leading, supporting, and empowering a highly skilled group of people, generating the opportunity for staff to grow.
Communicating readily with clients and key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach will be key.
Skills & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Extensive infrastructure engineering & design experience with demonstrated experience of leading water projects.
Demonstrable experience leading and developing multi-disciplined engineering teams with a focus on people management.
Demonstrable project management skills in cost, schedule, risk, and change management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
Strong stakeholder management skills both internal and external.
Strong scope awareness in a complex project environment.
