Senior Design Manager

Revered Commercial industrial builder are expanding their Design Management capability and seek experienced Senior Design Managers to join the Melbourne operation.
Joining the Pre Con Manager and Design Management team, reporting into the General Manager, this is an opportunity to add your wealth of knowledge of construction to a slick construction business known for their long history of quality delivery.

Senior Design Manager Responsibilities Ensure buildability of projectsOversee design process, ensuring quality aligns with project outcome goals.Execute projects under ECI, D+C and lump sum contract conditions.Manage external consultants and sub contractors.Present to client representatives.Coordinate with site based team.Manage RFI's.Ensure project success meeting deadlines, budgets and quality.Display and apply sound commercial and contractual knowledge to construction delivery.Foster external relationships to ensure project outcome success. Ideal Candidate Profile 15-20 years construction experience.Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture Degree with minimum 8 years Contracting experience is ideal.Tier 2 or 3 background.Project delivery success of projects valued at $30-100M.Industrial experience very much desired; however, commercial, life sciences (heavy services) experience will be considered.Experience working with national clients and on projects interstate would be ideal, however not essential.Committed tenure displaying project execution and completion is ideal.
