Impact Council's infrastructural projects by developing professional relationships with Engineers, Planners, Developers, Project Managers and the Community.ABOUT THE POSITION.As a Senior Design Engineer based in a Council located in Sydney, you will be responsible for the preparation and management of engineering designs and investigations across a broad range of infrastructure projects. This position will include the management of external design consultants, management of internal design projects, preparation of contract documentation for design projects and mentorship of design engineers.DUTIES.Provide overall management and responsibility of the design phase of capital works projectsUndertake investigations and forward design associated with infrastructure design and project deliveryProvide technical support, reviewing, mentoring and peer review to the Design teamAssisting in the preparation of design briefs and workshopsSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.Degree in Engineering (Civil) or relevant qualificationsExceptional knowledge of legislation, regulations and design standardsExtensive experience in detailed design of stormwater, roads, and trafficProficient in Civil3D, CAD and DRAINS softwaresCULTURE.Enjoy being part of a team size of 6 who pride themselves on collaboration and a supportive team environment.
