ABOUT THE ROLE This is a fantastic management level planning role for someone who wants to join a company looking to constantly improve. Reporting to the Head of Demand, Supply & Replenishment, this role is responsible for managing a team of category Demand Planners who forecast demand and manage stock levels to ensure sales, service level and inventory targets are all achieved.Within your designated business unit, you will ensure we are constantly meeting the needs of our customers by working closely with key stakeholders to improve business performance.
This is a full-time position and is located out of Group Support Office in Strathpine, Queensland. The role also involves:
Ensuring our team have the right amount of stock in the right place at the right time to satisfy our customers' needs through forecast accuracy. (both online and in store) Monitoring and analysing actual performance versus plans to identify issues and taking actions alongside key stakeholders based on your recommendations and insights. Providing training and development for members of the planning team, in line with personal development plans. Understanding our business and systems, developing a proactive and independent approach to problem solving. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our internal teams; Merchandise, Merchandise Planning, Retail, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Master Data, Omni and Marketing. Collaboration with our Trade Partners to ensure there is a strong understanding of information and planning lead times to ensure efficient, timely and full supply. ABOUT YOU As a Senior Demand Planner, you will lead your team by example, be results focused, commercially rounded and comfortable owning the planning detail.You will be confident when dealing with challenging situations and encouraging others to create new solutions to problems.
You will bring:
A wealth of experience in demand and supply planning, ideally in the retail industry. Strong team focus and experience in coaching and developing planners. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with strong communication skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Strength in interpretation/analysis of data coupled with demonstrated problem solving abilities. Excellent time management and prioritisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Exposure to SAP / JDA (Blue Yonder) or similar systems. WHY JOIN US?
