Your key stakeholders are our Wholesale Sales, Supply, Operations and Planning teams and your role is to ensure the business delivers on forecasted sales figures with strong service levels and reduced excess stock.
You must be able to provide forecast recommendations and be comfortable critiquing assumptions and decisions where relevant. You are exceptionally analytical and really enjoy delving into the numbers, and working with non-financials to help make good business decisions. Your in-depth and accurate analysis around changes in demand across specific channels and product categories is essential in ensuring the business is on track: you will manage a high volume of reporting, including forecast accuracy.
What will I be doing? Provide strategic demand management across multiple product categories to meet business objectives in Sales, Stock on hand and Stock turns by driving forecast accuracy improvements. Leading and coaching 2 Demand Analysts. Manage the demand planning processes to enable sustainable improvements to customer service levels. Provide the business with relevant sales & market intelligence. Present 12 month forecasts for monthly Demand Planning signoff meeting. Run monthly S&OP reporting and provide monthly demand reports. What experience do I have? You are analytically minded and enjoy deep diving into reporting: your ability to interpret figures & numbers is exceptional and you are comfortable handling high volumes of data and conducting effective data analysis. You have similar experience in a Planning or Demand Analyst role – retail or grocery is highly advantageous. Strong IT and system skills: you are a daily user of Excel and are comfortable with functions including pivot tables, V-Look Ups, formulas, etc. Ideally you have exposure to Blue Yonder forecasting systems and can adapt to change. Your attention to detail is exceptional. Strong stakeholder management skills as well as an ability to lead and coach.
