Senior Delivery and Engagement Officer The Queensland State Office manages the delivery of employment and skills programs across the region. We are seeking candidates who are keen to make a difference through managing service providers to deliver and meet local labour market needs, and ultimately help clients upskill and secure sustained employment. As a Senior Delivery and Engagement Officer you will lead a team responsible for key functions such as: Program and contract management. Policy review and implementation, including Ministerial and Executive briefs. Local and regional stakeholder engagement.Collecting regional place-based labour market intelligence. Supporting industry and whole of government strategic initiatives projects. To be successful in the role, candidates should be highly motivated leaders, committed to achieving quality outcomes. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with interstate colleagues, National office, and cross-agencies, including State Government. We welcome government and non-government industry-related leaders, and newcomers, who can learn quickly and contribute positively to our State Office culture that values initiative, inclusivity, and flexibility. Flexible working arrangements can be available, including work from home, compressed or reduced hours and more. The key duties of the position include: Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include: Leading a small team to achieve high quality program and contract management. Building team capacity and individual staff capability through on-the-job training, coaching and performance feedback. Managing the performance and compliance of contracted program service providers through relationship management and decision making in accordance with contractual and legislative frameworks. Managing and escalating complex performance and provider operational issues identified through monitoring activities such as data analysis and onsite visits (some overnight travel opportunities). Engaging with stakeholders to co-design projects and facilitate referral pathways and support systems, particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged participant and job seeker cohorts. Actively contributing to business objectives through participation in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering. Providing policy advice and support to our Ministers, and the department's National Office teams as required. Please note, under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing.This is a designated security assessed position. The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance. This selection process may be used to establish a merit pool. The pool might be accessed to fill ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies for similar roles in the Department over the next 18 months.
