To 16 May 25 $1,200/day + Super Immediate start About the role: The Database Administrator (DBA) works within a team of DBAs to ensure the health of Urban Utilities' hosted Oracle and SQL database environments. Along with managing the stability and performance of our database environments, the DBA will contribute to and support the future direction of our database environments, while aligning with current and emerging industry best practices. The DBA drives a culture of continual improvement, focusing on areas such as automation, reporting, tool deployment, and the delivery and implementation of governance best practices to optimize database services to internal and external customers, suppliers, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities: Capacity and configuration management Continuity and DR management Data architecture and database design Database specification and installation Storage management Leadership and direction Experience: Substantial general work experience together with job-related experience in own area of expertise to a fully competent level. Practical database administration in large organisations and across heterogeneous platforms such as Azure, Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Veeam. Platform operations monitoring using SolarWinds, including managing configuration and responding to system monitoring events. Database management experience: Oracle and SQL Server. Resolve complex platform incidents while working independently and in a team. Adapt to changing technical, process, and organisational environments. Continuously improve processes & technologies and drive a culture of innovation across the business.
