Our database delivery team within the Commodities and Global Markets technology team enables Macquarie's global activities by undertaking the design and implementation of database infrastructure related projects. Our database environment is complex, with Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and Postgres running on AWS, Linux and Windows platforms.

What role will you play?As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering solutions and support for Macquarie's evolving database environment as part of our global team. You will be involved in deploying, upgrading and maintaining the database fleet, providing feedback on the health of the environment and creating automation for repeatable requirements. You will provide systems support, deliver database projects, assist in database design patterns, and disaster recovery planning and testing. You will also be involved in database system builds, installations, provisioning, deployment and development ensuring that database systems are built to Macquarie's standards.
What you offerExperience in a Database Administrator role, with a strong primary skillset in Oracle & Sybase or SQL Server is desirable with preference working in a corporate environment.Experience with Ansible, Perl and/or shell scripting preferable.Ability to troubleshoot complex database problems when escalations occur.Knowledge of ITIL practice and demonstrable experience with change management processes and procedures is preferable.Experience with Cloud deployments.BenefitsMacquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on eligibility criteria, include:
