You will work with multiple stakeholders across the organization to enforce robust data practices in Institutional-Markets to meet the compliance requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities include data quality management, data stewards and ownership, monitor and ensure compliance with data regulation, data lineage, data mapping and metadata management.Role Type: 12 Months Secondment / 12 Months Fixed TermRole Location: SydneyWork Hours: Full TimeWhat will your day look like?The Senior Data Strategy Management Analyst will be reporting to the Associate Director – Markets Data Governance & Strategy and primary responsibilities include:Business and data analysis, including processing and collating information on data sources, usage and outputs and also performing fact-finding on the data itself.Working with other team members (and closely with G3s and up) to assist in the delivery of Markets Data objectives – including data standards, taxonomy, metrics, controls, standards, etc.Working with business, change and IT representatives to document Policies & standards in line with ANZ Enterprise Data Governance framework.Plans work across program increments and engages with other team members to align and manage interdependencies.Improving the collective knowledge of leadership team for better decision-making.Develop clear guidelines with practical implementation to streamline processes with minimal complexity and maximum efficiency to applicable policies and standards.Provide guidance and process training to Data Owners, Data Stewards as well as Business Owners, Business Managers to assist them in meeting their Data responsibilities effectively.Perform BAU functions of the Markets Data Governance which include Data Impact Assessments, Data Quality Issue Management, Applications Record retention, retrieval and deletion management.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Demonstrated knowledge of data governance, data quality and data management practices including data-related regulatory requirements.Good understanding of data architecture and conceptual data lineage and data visualisation.Strong analytical, numerical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with Business as well as Technology Stakeholders in the organisation.Proven business analysis experience and strong direct experience with Data analysis, Business analysis and solution design / implementation. Experience on major projects is desired.A Banking background and ideally operated in a Markets / IB environment.Data Governance / Management / Reference / Static / Master Data preferred.Can appreciate difficult problems and is a self-starter to work autonomously on tasks with medium complexity.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
