Job DescriptionThe 9Predict data science team develops, builds and delivers data science products to provide audience forecasting and solutions to business problems. Key responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data, developing and implementing data science models, and communicating findings to stakeholders. We push the envelope in what is possible and work on new and novel implementations of data science techniques.
Major area of focus for the team is forecasting audiences across all of Nine's assets (Metro TV, Regional TV, 9NOW and other channels) to more effectively monetise & yield manage commercial ad inventory.
Role Responsibilities Analyse large and complex data sets to uncover insights and trends.Develop predictive models and algorithms.Collaborate with other data scientists and analysts to design and implement innovative solutions that support business objectives.Implement and maintain data pipelines and workflows.Conduct data cleaning, transformation, and validation.Create and present clear and concise reports, visualisations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Use data visualisation tools to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.Employee Responsibilities Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data science and media analytics.Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.Share knowledge and insights with team members.Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical guidelines in all data-related activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.3+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and SQL, with a strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning.Familiarity with big data technologies, such as BigQuery or Spark.Experience in Google Cloud Platform.Experience in Kubernetes, Airflow, Spark, MLFlow etc.Proficiency in data visualisation tools, such as Tableau or Looker, with the ability to create compelling visual narratives.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.Deep understanding of media industry metrics, analytics, and audience behaviour.Proven experience in designing and executing A/B testing and experimental design methodologies.Strong project management skills and experience leading complex, cross-functional projects.Additional InformationOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: At Nine, we are committed to fostering a workforce that embraces all aspects of diversity and inclusion and where practices are equitable to ensure our people experience a sense of belonging.
