Senior Data Governance Specialist

What you'll do Carry out data governance and metadata activities for the Transformation program to ensure our solutions are built to meet business requirements, legislation and to ensure best practices for data management are incorporated. The role requires knowledge and experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, processes and controls. Furthermore, the role requires strong business analysis and communication skills, along with the ability to work with diverse business and technology stakeholders. Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements and experience in data management tools is required. Knowledge of data related to the regulatory environment as well as Responsible AI implementation are desired.
Key deliverables: Design and implement metadata solutions to ensure robust data definitions are available in a central metadata repository. Contribute to designing and improving data management, governance and data architecture processes including data lineage and data quality. Design and implement data governance controls and operating models to ensure data management and governance policies and practices are met. Consult and coach diverse teams on data management and governance practices. Partner with stakeholders from business teams including architects, BAs, Data & Analytics, Legal & Compliance to get specialist advice and implement solutions. Undertake data governance activities including maintaining and updating metadata, business rules and policies. Conduct change management activities. What experience you need Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. 5-7 years of analysis, product management, and/or consulting experience regarding data, including financial services data. Familiarity with Agile and other project management methods. Cloud certification and experience with cloud or on-prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data. Experience with SQL and BI Tools (Looker, Big Query, Tableau, etc.), data management and/or cloud data management, product and work management tools (Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow), written and oral presentation, and data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, etc.). What could set you apart Cloud certification is a big plus. An ability to work proactively. Master's Degree strongly preferred.
