The role will be joining the Perpetual Digital Client Service team which is responsible for providing operational and technical support across a mix of legacy and cloud technologies supporting the banking and finance industry. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining various data-related services and provide technical and operational support to Perpetual Digital's customers.
About the Role Join our dynamic team at Perpetual Digital! As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
Provide technical support in the resolution of production system incidents and ensuring adherence to agreed customer SLAs while coordinating with external and internal customers, internal resolver teams, external vendors and service providers as required.
Analyse and develop actionable plans to fulfill service requests from customers or implement enhancements to existing systems and processes while adhering to agreed security and quality controls and service management practice and standards.
Perform daily monitoring to ensure that data services are running at optimal level, batch processes are completing within expected timing, and issues are resolved within agreed timeline.
Work closely with engineering team to ensure that required periodic database maintenance routines are in place and reviewed regularly.
Contribute to database design changes and testing activities.
Contribute to the pro-active continuous improvements on the performance, scalability, security, supportability, and maintainability for all supported applications.
Support and facilitate the gathering of required information for internal compliance and audit reporting such as ASAE 3150, CPS 234, GS007.
Contribute to the maintenance of required documentation on application support and internal audit/risk reporting platform.
Collaborate with and mentor other members of the team from both onshore and offshore locations.
About You We're looking for someone with:
Degree qualified in business or technology.
5+ years experience supporting applications that are using MS SQL, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, and Power BI.
Experience working on Enterprise Data Warehousing using Wherescape Red or similar platforms.
Experience working with Azure data services like Azure SQL Databases, Data Factory, and Analysis Services.
Experience performing database administration tasks and using various tools and methodologies in fine-tuning database performance on both on-prem and Azure SQL database servers.
Experience in database design and development and CI/CD delivery processes using tools like Visual Studio and Azure DevOps.
Proficient understanding of Git and code management tools.
Familiar with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Azure DevOps.
Experience communicating with stakeholders at various levels.
Familiar with IT service management practice as well as audit and compliance reporting in a financial context.
