This role is with our Data Platforms & Engineering Team, where you will enable our data engineering practice, contribute to the data platform, and enable teams to deliver different data products using the platform.
Data Platforms & Engineering Team at LFS is a group of Software Engineers, Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Project Managers who love solving problems using platforms and data products and help build a data-driven culture.
Our Data platforms enable a single customer view and a modern Data Lake enabling real-time scalable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML capabilities.
Our Data Products enable organization-wide teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes like Personalization, Next Best Offer, Collections, and Fraud Detection, to name a few.
Responsibilities:
Work with different stakeholders to understand their needs and build data ingestion processes, data applications, and data models to address their requirements.
Work closely with the analytics and data science team to build data solutions that allow them to obtain more insights from our data and use those to support important business decisions.
Own a problem end to end, work with the team, and guide them through design and iterate on the solution.
Actively advise on improvements on processes, products, and deployed code.
Contribute to the development of baseline platform products and scale sustainably by pushing code changes that improve reliability.
About you!
Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5+ years professional experience in software engineering.
Working knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL).
Experience designing data models for optimal storage and retrieval to meet product and business requirements.
Experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark, Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
Experience working with AWS cloud services like ECS, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, etc.
Well versed in modern software development practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD).
