Senior Data Engineer (Legacy System Migration to Azure Cloud) Remote (Work from home) 6 months (Initially) $1,150pd Inc Super Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead the migration of our legacy systems to the Azure cloud platform. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in modernizing our data infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in data engineering, cloud computing, and project management.
Responsibilities: Lead the migration process of legacy systems to the Azure cloud platform.Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data consistency.Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for improved performance and cost-efficiency.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Maintain documentation and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on cloud migration projects.Extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse.Proficiency in programming languages Python (Pyspark) and SQLStrong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and database architecture.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.IMMEDIATE REQUIREMENT, NO LONGER THEN 1 WEEK NOTICE - APPLY WITH UIPDATED CV IF INTERESTED.
