Are you Tracksuit's new Senior Data Engineer? This role will see you working collaboratively with our teams to build world class data capabilities into the Product Team and the wider Tracksuit organisation. Data is key to everything we do at Tracksuit — so our Data Team is absolutely crucial to everything we value at Tracksuit. If our customers can't trust our data, they can't trust Tracksuit.
This role is exciting because you'll get to work with our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, Product Managers and quite literally every other internal function at Tracksuit to ensure the quality of our data and help to define the direction of our data efforts.
Please note — while we have listed this role as being based in our Sydney office, we are also open to Auckland applicants and this person working from our NZ office. We are happy to relocate someone to Sydney / Auckland if they are exceptional.
As our Senior Data Engineer you will be responsible for: We'll look to you to be a data leader within the business and ensuring the quality of our data Managing & improving our survey data platform (especially as we continue to scale) Explore how to use our survey data in unique and interesting ways to provide value to customers while maintaining our data integrations between various internal and external systems Maintain and look for opportunities to improve our operational/analytics data platform Work collaboratively with our internal business areas to build data products that allow them to self service data requests As our team scales, we will look to you to mentor and help establish best data practices and approach to enable success as we grow That's the role, so who are you? Expert SQL skills & experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) You'll come with at least 5 years experience working with and designing data warehouses, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, data integration/analytics & reporting solutions. Expert in data architecture, able to design highly efficient, scalable data models supporting complex business requirements. Expert ability to diagnose and resolve DB performance issues Infrastructure-as-Code A kind, smart and genuine human with a growth mindset. You thrive in fast-paced environments and, as an early team member, are excited at the prospect of having a tangible impact on Tracksuit's culture. You understand why good branding is critical to a business' success (and why it's important to track, i.e. why Tracksuit exists!) Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 a year
