Where Cloud lives and AI thrives! Job Description We are currently looking for a passionate Senior Data Centre Technician to join our Adelaide's facilities team.
The purpose of this role is to support the Facility Manager with the day-to-day operations of the data centre by providing high quality & efficient technical maintenance and customer service.
This role will also bethe lead in SME for the team of Data Centre Technicians and be required to participate in an on-call roster.
What you'll do: Excellent customer communication skills with a proven ability to handle customer escalations Assess all areas of risk from OH&S, security, to facility technical and critical system operations, policy and procedures to ensure customer services and business operations operate within a risk profile approved by the NEXTDC executive leadership team Provide an integration/coordination point into NEXTDC Facilities, for infrastructure supporting critical support systems, Power monitoring and Rack locking, Temp and Humidity monitoring Assist with customer deliveries handling of equipment and any assembly as required Work with members of the Facility and Business Framework teams to challenge, develop and deliver workflows, process, policy and procedures for all aspects of facility and system operations.
