About the role: The Senior Data and Systems Administrator sits within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Governance and Accountability Branch of the Department of Health and provides a leadership role along with advanced professional advice and expertise on the implementation, operation and management of Gambling Harm Prevention and Response (GHPR) ICT systems and data sets.The role oversees application support for the Gambler's Help IT case management system and technical support for the ICT infrastructure environments as well as technical management of the GHPR websites, database management, system administration, service desk management, systems analysis and management of technical infrastructure and environments.In addition, the role is responsible for the management of GHPR service system reporting data sets and the integration and analysis of service data across other Department services.The Senior Data and Systems Analyst has a lead role in ensuring operations are compliant with the relevant legislation, policies and standards inherent to each system.This role is funded by the Gambling Harm Response Fund to provide specialised support and leadership to the Gambling Harm Prevention and Response unit.How you'll make a difference: Manage the GHPR ICT environment and the ongoing relationship with external providers.Support system users by providing 1st and 2nd level support, escalating issues and working with vendors to their resolution.Manage datasets to facilitate analysis, modelling and forecasting of GHPR, mental health and AOD system integration and performance that will inform strategic commissioning, service design and system management of relevant health services.Undertake investigations of business data sets and evaluate data from multiple sources to identify emerging issues, risks and trends impacting implementation of system reforms and service performance.Understand cyber security risks and work with cyber staff across Government to implement system management best practices to identify and manage risks.Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: Knowledge and experience managing and supporting cloud-based products and architecture is desirable.Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within an IT service management and/or helpdesk environment using ITIL standards and processes.Demonstrated high-level experience in the provision of end user support services for key business applications, including the management of incident, problem and change management processes.Advanced understanding of technical architecture and networking concepts, particularly in a cloud-hosted environment.Demonstrated experience in the management of IT applications and SQL databases.Demonstrated experience in understanding and analysing business and data requirements, preferably in a health or human services environment.Strong innovation skills and advanced knowledge and understanding across the spectrum of contemporary ICT and AV technologies.Experience in preparing and reviewing technical contracts and documentation.What we offer: The opportunity to perform meaningful work, making direct contributions toward enabling Victorians to be the healthiest people in the world.A wide range of growth and development opportunities within the department and wider Victorian Public Service & Sector.A strong commitment to work-life balance, including a diverse array of flexible working arrangements.How to apply: Applications should include a resume and a cover letter.
